The array front LEDs are located on both handles. The power button is only on the right handle. The following table describes the front LEDs.

Table 1. Array front LEDs
LED Status
Power indicator Solid green indicates that the power is on.
Heartbeat Regular blinking indicates that the controller hardware is healthy.
NOTE: Though they are regular, the LEDs on each Active/Standby controller blink at different rates.
NOTE: For CS2xx and CS4xx models, amber is the normal color for this LED.
eth1 and eth2 Flashing indicates network activity is present.

The LED for eth1 is on the right, and eth2 on the left

Power failure One or both of the following conditions:
  • A power supply has failed
  • A power cord is not plugged in
Temperature One of the following conditions:
  • Blinking indicates at least two fan failures:
    • If both fans are failing in the same zone, only the bezel on that side will blink.
    • If fan failures are on both controllers, OverTemp LED on both sides will blink.
  • Solid indicates an overheat condition

The fans are replaceable in All Flash arrays. See Replace a Fan.

See Check System Temperature.

NOTE: The Power button turns power to the controllers on and off. It does not have an LED.
