Controller LED Tables

The following tables describe the LED indicators for array controllers.

Figure: Array controller LEDs (Fibre Channel shown)

  2. 10GBaseT Ethernet link/speed
  3. 10GBaseT Ethernet link/speed
  4. Heartbeat
  5. 16Gb/s Fibre Channel HBAs
Table 1. Controller LEDs
LED Status
Power supply
  • Green: Power switched on, AC power connected
  • Amber:
    • Power switched off, AC power connected
    • The power supply is not properly seated in its slot
    • The array is powered off
    • Power supply internal fault. (See Replace a Power Supply.)
  • Dark: AC power not connected
Ethernet link (left) Flashing indicates network activity
Ethernet speed (right)
  • Green: 10Gb/s
  • Amber: 1Gb/s
  • Off (Dark): 10/100Mb/s, no connection
Heartbeat
  • Upper LED regular blinking: BMC active
  • Lower LED regular blinking: System normal
NOTE: The bottom LED indicates the same status as the array front panel heartbeat LED.

The following table describes the additional controller LEDs in Fibre Channel (FC) arrays.
