Windows Host Target Error

The Windows host displays a target error when:
  • The host has unrestricted access (all 64 subnets) to the array, and
  • There are more than 114 volumes on the array
Such a configuration causes discovery to fail because it exposes too many iSCSI targets to the host.

To avoid this situation, it is recommended that you limit access to your volumes by using iSCSI initiator groups or CHAPs, so that the Windows host can perform discovery successfully.

See the topics for creating a volume in the CLI Administration Guide or GUI Administration Guide.
