Pinning a Volume Created with a Previous Release of NimbleOS

When trying to pin an existing volume that was created before NimbleOS version 2.1, the volume will not be pinned. This is because the current Nimble caching technology is not compatible with volumes created before Version 2.1.

To successfully pin a volume that was created before NimbleOS version 2.1, you must upgrade the array to NimbleOS 2.1 or higher, and wait for the cache to age out. As the cache ages out under the new NimbleOS, it is rebuilt with the latest caching technology. Once the cache ages out completely, you can safely pin the volume.
