Secure SMTP

You can configure simple or secure Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to send alerts from Nimble Storage groups to external servers. Alerts are identifiers about specific actions that occur on a Nimble Storage group of arrays.

Prior to version 2.3 of the NimbleOS, you could configure only a simple (or regular) SMTP relay of email alerts.

In NimbleOS version 2.3 and later, you can configure either a regular or a secure SMTP relay.
