Hardware Upgrades

Depending on the model of array, you can upgrade the controller or the cache drives to increase performance.

If you want to increase data storage capacity, you can add up to three expansion shelves (one expansion shelf on the CS210).

Currently, there is no upgrade path for the ES1-Hn series expansion shelf. However, you can upgrade the solid state drives (SSDs) on the ES1-AFS. See the AFS 4-Pack SSD Upgrade Quick Start Guide. For current supported SSDs, see Hardware Specifications.

You may have to update the NimbleOS before you can upgrade controllers in your Nimble array. For more information on Nimble software updates, refer to the Nimble Storage GUI Administration Guide or Nimble Storage CLI Administration Guide.
