Download the Windows Toolkit

Before you begin

To download the NWT, you must have an Internet connection from the Windows host to the Nimble Storage InfoSight™.
Important: Nimble Setup Manager (NSM) is only required for array setup. If performing these steps from Windows 7 or later no other components can be installed.
What you need on the Windows host:
  • Internet connection to Nimble Storage InfoSight™
  • .NET Framework 4.5.2
  • Adobe Flash Player

Download the latest version of the Nimble Windows Toolkit (NWT) for installation on your Windows host or Windows VM.

Important: Make sure that the version of NWT is compatible with the version of NimbleOS on your array. For example, NWT 3.x requires NimbleOS 3.0 or later. For compatibility information, see the Nimble Storage Support Matrix.

Procedure

  1. In your Internet browser, go to https://infosight.nimblestorage.com/, type your email address and password, and click Log In. If you do not have an HPE InfoSight account, click Create Account and provide the required information.
  2. Click Downloads > Integration Kits .
  3. From the Integration Kit dropdown menu, select Windows Toolkit.
  4. From the Select the software version menu, select the latest version of the Nimble Windows Toolkit.
    Note: The Windows host must be on the same subnet as that of the array to be set up.
  5. Click the Software link. (For 2.2.x or later, only 64-bit is available.) Save the NWT installation package to a convenient place on your Windows host. The installation package has a name like Setup-NimbleNWT-x64-x.x.x.x.exe. Where x64 is the supported microprocessor and x.x.x.x is the version number.
  6. Download the Nimble Windows Toolkit Release Notes. Review the list of Windows Server hotfixes.
    Note: If you are installing Nimble Setup Manager alone, then no hotfixes are needed. However, .NET framework requirements still apply. Hotfix requirements are mandatory for any Windows host in which Nimble Connection Manager or the iSCSI Initiator is used to connect to Nimble volumes.
